Copyright obligations

Many parts of mooreish.org allow you to add information to share with others. You agree not to add any information that breaches copyright law.

The types of information you may add:

  • Information that you have created yourself.
  • Information that is public domain.
  • Information which you have the copyright holder's permission to add.

The types of information you may not add:

  • Text that is under copyright. This includes sections of books that you are allowed to copy for personal study purposes. Copyright law allows you to make such copies for your own use, but not to re-distribute them to other students.
  • Images that are under copyright.
  • Sounds that are under copyright.

Privacy

Mooreish.org is not a public internet site, all users must login to access the site. You agree to appropriately respect the privacy of those who use mooreish.org, and the information they contribute.

The administrators of mooreish.org will not use your personal information for any other purpose than running mooreish.org. Likewise, we will not disclose your personal information to any third party. Furthermore, we endeavour to protect mooreish.org against security breaches. However, because we are volunteers, we are unable to guarantee complete security. For this reason, we require users to submit no more that these personal details:

  • Name
  • Year joined to Moore College Community
  • Small passport style photo

If you add further details, such as phone numbers or addresses, you do so at your own risk.

Responsible Use

Many pages on mooreish.org are editable by all users. Please treat these pages like a notice board at College. You agree not to vandalise pages. Rather, please correct any mistakes you find, and add information that you perceive will be useful for others.

Please treat the forums like a face to face conversation. Any verbal abuse of others will not be tolerated.

Breaches of these terms

You may report any breaches of these terms to one of the mooreish.org administrators.

Depending on the nature of the breach, users may be warned, or have their mooreish.org account suspended.
